Welcome to Barefoot Print E-mail

You’re probably wondering about the name “Barefoot” and how it was coined. Well, honestly, I had been thinking about a name for the company for ages with no luck. Then one day I went outside for a walk and, as you’ve guessed it, I was barefoot.

Suddenly it just hit me that the times that I have had amazing brainwaves was when I was pottering around the house or in the garden…barefoot! So there you have it. At Barefoot Consultancy, we are all about connecting on a basic level with your surroundings, and sorting things out from the ground up.

How we do things

We believe that there is more than one way to do anything. Barefoot will not dictate a way forward but rather work with the organisation to find out the best way forward.

Our simple operating structure is:

•    Determine where the organisation wants to go

This is done in conjunction with management and other key personnel. While a review of financial information can provide a clear indicator of an organisation's goals, it is very important to interact with the drivers of the business which is the people. Getting a clear picture of the vision of the organisation then leads to the next activity.

•    Where are we now

This is the actual status of the business versus the targets or goals that had been set and presented in the first stage above. An understanding of these figures/goals determines what can be achieved in the short and long term.

•    What can we do quickly

These are the short term actions that can carried out to generate quick wins and start showing an immediate return on investment. The ROIs may be financial, or even the increase in the level of understanding by personnel from training done

•    What are the long term actions that can be undertaken

These are strategic activities that need a minimum of 3 to six months to show a result. They would be supported by quick wins.

    Strategic action plan

This is the comprehensive document giving the plan, timelines and deliverables following the review of the organisation. The Strategic game plan is signed off by all parties concerned to ensure buy-in and understanding. The team effort behind the plan is the best way to ensure its success.
